The Chief of Data Operations is a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and is responsible for development and proper maintenance of all data operations maintained within the Colonial Ministry of Defense. This is an appointed position, chosen by the Commander in Chief, and is affirmed by the Fleet Commanders’ Council. This person holds the minimum rank of Vice Admiral. The duties of the Chief of Data Operations are as follows:
- Develop and Maintain the Library of Athena Database which safeguards all member data.
- Develop and Maintain the Colonial Ministry of Defense Website.
- Administer CMoD email servers and other data based utilities utilized by the Colonial Ministry of Defense.
- Support The Joint Chiefs of Staff and Fleet Commanders’ Council.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Commander in Chief.
